Southern Seven Health Department is seeking applications for a regular, full time RN position that is based at the Pulaski County Public Health Clinic in Ullin, Illinois. This position does come with a benefit package, including vacation, personal, and sick time accrual, holidays, health and life insurance, and an employer sponsored cafeteria plan. This position provides medical case management for DCFS youth in foster care and performs core case management activities of assessment, planning, referral, advocacy, and follow-up for high risk infants.

Qualifications: The applicant must have a valid Illinois RN license; preferences will be given to an applicant with a BSN and previous experience.

Pay Range: $24.13- $27.13 hourly

Job Duties:

• Use of interviewing and public health nursing assessment skills, the identification of health, social, and other related needs of the client and family, and determines the urgency of the need for services and initiates appropriate action.
• Performs home visits according to agency and Southern Seven policy and procedures.
• Participates in communicable and chronic disease investigation and surveillance.
• Performs lab procedures, including venipuncture and prepares specimens as necessary; conducts follow up on abnormal lab results.
• Prepares and administers vaccines for an immunization in accordance with Southern Seven policies and procedures and standing orders.
• Performs keyboard data entry of client data and medical care coordination into online data base program.
• Maintains client files including filing duties.
• Follows all policies and procedures related to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned to meet the requirements of the agency.
