Southern Seven Health Department is seeking applications for a full time position as Public Health Navigator that is based at the Rustic Campus in Ullin, Illinois. This position does come with a benefit package, including vacation, personal, and sick time accrual, holidays, health and life insurance, and an employer sponsored cafeteria plan. This position is responsible for keeping the general public informed on health related topics.

Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Public Health, Communications, or an approved related area AND at least one year of previous experience with presentations.

Pay Range: $20.21-21.22 hourly

Job Duties:

• Identify social services and community resources that would benefit community members such as food banks, mental health services, visiting nurses, and other community programs assisting persons in need or under isolation and/or quarantine order.
• Provide Narcan training and other health education materials to general public
• Attend Wellness on Wheels events
• Participates in all required trainings.
• Enters data into appropriate computer software systems as required.
• Follows all policies and procedures related to confidentiality and HIPAA
• Assists with monitoring of agency website and social media to answer any questions.
• Communicate with patients, contacts, and general public in a professional and empathetic manner
