Office Associate

Southern Seven Health Department is seeking applications for a regular, full-time position that is based at the Administrative Office in Ullin, Illinois. This position provides clerical support services to ensure efficient operations for the Health Educator department.

Qualifications: The applicant must have at least a High School Diploma or GED. Preferences will be given to an applicant with coursework in a secretarial science field and/or previous office experience.

Job Duties:

• • Works in conjunction with the Executive Director & Community Outreach Coordinator to create, coordinate, and implement a scheduling plan for Public Health related events.
  • Serves as a receptionist; takes messages and greets the public in a polite and informative way.
  • Visits all sites and attends meetings in order to have a very good understanding on programs within the agency.
  • Schedules activities for all programs but not limited to Health fairs, Job fairs, local events, Recruitment Days, and Vaccination clinics.
  • Participates on various committees to help plan and implement events such as but not limited to Seven County Staffing, Training Days, Open Houses, etc.
  • Works with the in-house Outreach staff to develop and create flyers for events.
  • Schedules appointments and follow up visits for the public as needed.
  • Assists with monitoring and updating of agency calendar of events.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned to meet the requirements of the agency.

The applicant selected for this will be required to pass a Basic Computer Skills Assessment.
