Southern Seven Health Department is seeking applications for a regular, full time Network Systems Assistant position that is based at the Business Office in Ullin, Illinois. This position will work 35 hours per week and does come with vacation and sick time accrual, holidays, and life insurance. This position will assist the IT Director in computer hardware maintenance and training to staff as necessary. There will be travel to multiple sites throughout the southern seven counties in Illinois however an agency vehicle will be available for travel purposes.

Qualifications: The applicant must have at least an Associate in Computer Science or related information tech field PLUS 2 years of experience

Job Duties:

• Responsible for maintenance, repair, and installation of computer hardware and peripheral equipment necessary for the day to day operation of all agency sites.
• Provides computer software training to staff including email, basic computer skills, internet, file management, and Microsoft programs.
• Assists the IT Director in software installation, hardware maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Solicits input from staff regarding training needs.
• Supports network and computer systems under the direction of the IT Director.
• Assists staff with any computer hardware or software issues, responds to IT Trouble Tickets in a timely manner.
• Tracks and logs outdated/broken hardware items and assists with disposal following approval.
• Maintains office inventory relating to IT Department.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned to meet the requirements of the agency.

The applicant selected for this will be required to pass an Advanced Computer Skills Assessment.
