Southern Seven Health Department is seeking applications for a regular, full time Program Associate position that is based at the Administrative Office in Ullin, IllinoisThis position does come with a benefit package, including vacation, personal, and sick time accrual, holidays, health and life insurance, and an employer sponsored cafeteria plan.  This position provides clerical support to the Head Start Service Team to ensure compliance with each service area of the Head Start Program.

Qualifications:  The applicant must have at least a High School Diploma or GED and pass the S7 Basic Computer Skills Assessment.  Preferences will be given to candidates that possess an Associate Degree in a Secretarial Science or related degree with previous office or data entry experience.  

Job Duties:

  • Completes data entry into Child Plus.Net data system for service areas as assigned.
  • Files documentation into children's files at the Administrative Office in accordance with guidelines and requirements.
  • Take and distributes meeting minutes as needed.
  • Receives and distributes incoming phones calls and takes messages and forwards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Greets visitors and monitors who have entered or exited the building through the entrance.
  • Prepares a monthly newsletter to be distributes to all Head Start sites and options.
  • Maintains child, family, and employee confidentiality and follows procedures for reporting suspected child abuse and neglect.
  • Maintains office supply cabinet and restocks supplies as needed.
  • Follows all policies and procedures related to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned to meet the requirements of the agency.
