Southern Seven Health Department is seeking applications for a full time Executive Director/Public Health Administrator position that is based at the Administrative Office in Ullin, Illinois. This position requires a strong public health background, solid knowledge of finance/budgeting and grant management, excellent communications skills and leadership capabilities. Essential Duties:
The ED/PHA ensures the successful accomplishment of the agency's mission including fiscal, personnel, Public Health and Head Start programming, grants management, and the development of the agency's strategic plan. The ED/PHA, in conjunction with the Administrators, plans, implements, directs, and evaluates all aspects of operation in accordance with the policies of the Board of Health and funding agencies. The ED/PHA is responsible for administering, implementing, and directing all nursing services, administrative and operational programs within the Public Health Division, including environmental health and emergency preparedness services. The ED/PHA develops and maintains effective public relations with the state and federal funding agencies, local government agencies, health care organizations, community partners and stakeholders and works collaboratively with the Board of Health for the benefit of the residents of the seven counties.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Prefer a Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, public or business administration, health care management, or related field, AND
- a minimum of five (5) years responsible administrative experience at senior management level with relevant experience within the framework of a public or non-profit, multi-service health care organization or related with at least two (2) years of full time administrative experience in public health.
