Southern Seven Health Department is seeking applications for a regular, full time position that is based at the Union County Public Health Clinic in Anna, Illinois. This position does come with a benefit package, including vacation, personal, and sick time accrual, holidays, health and life insurance, and an employer sponsored cafeteria plan.  This position provides clerical support services in a clinic setting. 

Qualifications:  The applicant must have at least a High School Diploma or GED. Preferences will be given to an applicant with coursework in a secretarial science field and/or previous office experience in a medical setting.

Job Duties:

• Serves as a receptionist; takes messages and greets the public in a polite and informative way.
• Answers the telephone in a prompt and professional manner and routes incoming calls to the appropriate individual.
• Works directly with clients in obtaining information to determine eligibility for services.
• Schedules appointments and follow up visits.
• Coordinates routing of incoming mail.
• Performs keyboard data entry of client information and billing information.
• Accepts and records money received from clients and makes bank deposits.
• Maintains client files including filing duties.
• Follows all policies and procedures related to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned to meet the requirements of the agency.

The applicant selected for this will be required to pass a Basic Computer Skills Assessment.
